The Superintendent's Advisory Council was formed in 2009. The group consists of family and community members who are dedicated to supporting the schools of the district, its students, teachers and administrators. This is accomplished through an open dialogue that is focused on problem solving and forward thinking. The Council meets the second Wednesday of November (9), February(8), March (14), April (11) and June (13) at 7:30 PM in the Mary Volz Library right after the Education Foundation meetings. Important Notice
The Runnemede Board of Education, at the January 25, 2012 regular meeting, in accordance with the law signed by the Governor in January, passed a resolution to move the election of Board members to the November general election. In so doing, the board elected to eliminate the vote on the annual budget and submit a budget to the Commissioner of Education for approval that will cap the tax levy each year at no more than 2%. The date of the public hearing on the budget will be in March. Notice of the meeting will be published in the newspaper, on the district website and will be posted on the sign board in front of Mary Volz School. The proposed budget will be presented to the public and there will be an opportunity to ask questions and provide input.
